Layout drawings should be issued at the end of a new installation and updated whenever additions or alterations to the system are carried out.

The Layout Drawings should include:

Positioning of all Control & Indicating equipment and power supplies.

Positioning of all automatic and manual detection devices.

Positioning of all other protective equipment e.g. short circuit isolator devices.

Accurate wiring routes noting type and size of cabling installed.

Sound pressure levels should be recorded and included, or separate drawings can be issued.

SMartCAD Solutions can provide all drawings as per project requirements supplied in:
Information, Approval, Tender, Design, Construction or As installed issues.

Fire Alarm System Schematic Drawings

Fire Alarm System Schematic Drawings are simple logical diagrams of fire system installations.

The Schematic Drawing focuses more on comprehending and spreading information, making it easier to understand and is usually used as a quick reference guide for the overview of a system.

The Schematic Drawing should be handed over to the premises manager to form part of the Operating & Maintenance documentation.

SMartCAD Solutions can provide all drawings as per project requirements for the installation.

Fire Alarm Zone Plans

Fire Alarm Zone Plans are an essential part of a fire alarm system installation which enables quick identification of an area where a fire may be. BS5839-1:2017 states if the zone plan is missing it will be recorded as a major non-compliance on any maintenance visit. Zone Plans should be correctly orientated to the building and fixed next to any Control & Indicating Equipment.

The Plan is a clear diagrammatic representation of the building showing a minimum of:
clearly defined zone divisions, main circulation areas and building entrances.

The zone plan should be updated whenever an addition or alteration to the zoned system has been carried out i.e a building extension.

SMartCAD Solutions can provide all drawings as per project requirements for the installation.

Fire Alarm System Graphical User Interface

Fire alarm system graphical user interfaces are often specified when a large, networked or complex fire alarm system is installed.

The graphical user interface is a computer program used by a trained operator to access the functionalities of the fire alarm system.

The system allows the operator to quickly and easily determine the location of devices in fire or fault conditions displayed on a floor plan.

Additional functionality can include:
Ability to disable zones or individual fire alarm points
Evacuate the site if an emergency should arise
Easy access to the fire alarm system event log

Various Colours Can Be Used.

SMartCAD Solutions can provide all drawings as per project requirements for the installation.

Fire Emergency Escape Plans

Fire Emergency Escape Plans form a vital part of the overall fire safety within a building.

In the event of a fire alarm or emergency this will give occupants clear indication of the route to the nearest exit and ultimate safety.

Escape Plans are sited at fixed locations in strategic areas within a building, displayed on a wall or internal side of a door.

Examples of installation (not limited to) would be:
escape routes, exit doors, lift areas and hotel bedrooms.

Escape Plans must be orientated to show the actual direction to exit and must be unobstructed and conspicuous.

SMartCAD Solutions can provide all drawings as per project requirements.
